DAAL Dusted Air Fryer Popcorn Chicken

Elevate your popcorn chicken game with a zesty, spicy twist in just under 30 minutes! Drawing inspiration from the nostalgic charm of Ritz-coated chicken, our Tandoori Ranch dusted DAAL adds an irresistible layer of flavor to your favorite bite-sized snack. Discover this mouthwatering recipe that combines the best of Indian-American fusion for a delightful, quick, and easy treat!  

Popcorn Chicken:

  • 1 cup of Tandoori Ranch DAAL
  • 1 egg
  • .5lb chicken thighs 

Mint Chutney Sauce:

  • 1 cup yogurt  
  • 1/2 cup mint leaves
  • 1/2 tsp cumin 
  • squeeze of lemon juice 
  • 1/2 green chili (optional)

Cut the chicken thighs into bite size pieces and salt. Set aside. 
Beat the egg in a bowl. Set aside.
Add the Tandoori Ranch DAAL to a spice grinder or food processor and blend till it becomes a dust. Place into a shallow dish.
Dredge the chicken in the egg then put into the Tandoori Ranch DAAL dust. Toss to evenly coat. 
Set air fryer to 390 and air fry coated chicken for 8-10 minutes. 

For the chutney, blend all ingredients together and adjust to taste. 

Serves: 3-4

Yes its gluten free! A great alternative to breaded popcorn chicken.
